Pinguicula ‘Ysi’ is a Rainbow Carnivores in-house hybrid of P. gigantea × P. cyclosecta, originally created and selected for its striking purple veining and richly saturated coloration.
Under strong full-spectrum lighting, ‘Ysi’ develops deep violet tones and forms a tight, well-balanced rosette typically reaching 2.5–3 inches in diameter. In lower light, plants may grow larger—up to 4–5 inches—but the most intense coloration emerges during winter growth under higher light intensity. Smooth, lightly glossy leaves and a symmetrical growth habit make this hybrid both visually refined and easy to grow.
