Pinguicula agnata ‘True Blue’ is a popular Mexican butterwort cultivar, well-loved for its distinct purple-blue colored flower that sets it apart from the white flowers of other pinguicula agnata cultivars. This particular plant grows quite large as well at up to 4” in diameter and producing light green rounded leaves.

Its smooth, sticky leaves produce glistening droplets through specialized glands that catch and digest insects. As prey struggles, additional glands activate, eventually leaving only the exoskeleton behind. Easy to grow and reliable in performance, P. agnata is a top choice for both beginners and experienced carnivorous plant enthusiasts.
